This challenging option is suited to those students who have a flair for learning foreign languages. If you have enjoyed learning French and/or German and feel you would like the opportunity to gain another language and possibly gain another GCSE at the same time, then this is the course for you.
No previous knowledge of Spanish is needed, just an interest in languages together with commitment, reliability, sense of humour and enthusiasm for learning a language.
We will be following the Short Course Spanish GCSE (AQA) syllabus. The topics covered include:
- Self and Family
- Hobbies and Interests
- Daily Routine
- Future Career
- Part Time Jobs
- Leisure
- Shopping
The course should provide you with a suitable foundation for further study and/or practical use of Spanish when visiting Spain or Spanish speaking countries.
